I would love love, love to do more foodie and restaurant sites as I have always had a fascination with food from all over the world and a massive thing for cookbooks and cooking shows. Just the idea of expressing all of our senses on a web page in a way that makes the viewer need to taste the food… it’s exciting!
My very first website. I wanted to do this site the first time I dined at Wasabi and fell in love with Jyunya’s incredible talent for Japanese cooking. It makes me crazy that so many of our best restaurants are not as busy as they should be because local customers don’t know about them. Jyunya works hard to keep his site fresh and active with seasonal updates, including fabulous food photos. We’ve added a lot to it over the years- the latest being online menus and a chef’s blog.
I wanted to do a website for Sandrine the minute I walked into her beautiful pastry shop. How could I not create a gorgeous site with her fabulous pastries and chocolates for inspiration? I also very much enjoyed Sandrine’s sense of style, colour and attention to detail in creating this site together.
This was my first collaboration with my very talented, photographer daughter, Zoe Turner, who takes most of the delicious photos for the site… Sandrine and I think she does a fabulous job!
These two websites are part of the Delivery Masters trio and were site makeovers. A lot of attention was focused on branding which included adapting their current logo to use on the site as well as business cards. We wanted to connect the sites, but also allow them to stand on their own
On the sites, I made sure the services offered were super clear for potential clients through text, graphics and navigation.
You can read more about the site makeovers on my design journal post… “I love doing site makeovers.”
